Joe Iwasyk -- President
Joe is a current Junior at UPenn studying Bioengineering and minoring in Engineering Entrepreneurship. He grew up in Yardley, PA, a small town outside Philadelphia, and attended Holy Ghost Prep. Most of his free time is spent running, fishing and practicing piano and guitar. Additionally, he works at the Center for Neurodegenerative Research at PennMed.
Tariq Kessaci -- Communications
Tariq is currently a sophomore at Upenn concentrating in Finance and Statistics in the Wharton School. He grew up in Edgemont, NY a small in the suburbs of New York City, and attended Edgemont High School. He hopes to promote entrepreneurship across Penn’s campus by expanding WUEC’s reach and influence. He is particularly interested in the growth of the quant finance industry and the rise of alternative data. He loves playing hockey and skiing, and spending time outdoors.
Francine Dong -- Marketing
Francine is a sophomore in Wharton concentrating in Business Analytics and Marketing. She is interested in showcasing the entrepreneurial mindset that WUEC fosters to the Penn community through visual arts. Other than the club, Francine enjoys figure skating, rubiks cubing, and korean bbq.
Natasha Gupta -- Events
Natasha is a junior studying Finance and Statistics in Wharton. She became interested in entrepreneurship her Junior year of high school and has worked with several start-ups since.
Jack Talley -- Operations
Lauren D'Amelia - Vice President
Lauren is currently a sophomore in the Wharton School studying Entrepreneurship & Innovation and Marketing & Operations Management with a minor in Computer Science in the School of Engineering. She is interested in the intersection of business and technology and has worked at a pharmaceuticals startup. Outside of WUEC, Lauren spends her time playing lacrosse and soccer, reading, and participating in political outreach.
Rahul Chopra - Finance
Michael Marcus- Corporate Sponsorship
Michael is currently a Junior in The Wharton School of Business, where he is pursuing concentrations in finance and retailing. Last summer, he spent time working in the investment banking group at Mesirow Financial in Chicago, IL. At Mesirow, Michael completed daily assignments for multiple live deals and conducted industry research on employee assistance programs in the US. In addition to WUEC, Michael enjoys playing on the club lacrosse team, is a member of Wharton Investment and Trading Group, and volunteers with West Philadelphia Tutoring Project on a weekly basis. Michael’s passion for entrepreneurship stems from his interest in team dynamics.
