Finance & Sponsorship
The Finance Committee establishes a budget for the club by exploring creative funding. They also develop a list of goals and timelines for the semester. Members gain exposure to the entrepreneurial environment both on and off Penn's campus. This committee also reaches out to potential speakers, and partners with the Penn community on entrepreneurial resources and programming such as PennApps Acc., Wharton Entrepreneurship, VIP, and PennSem.
The Events Committee plans a series of speaker events throughout the semester by reaching out to potential speakers, and spreading awareness of the event. Speakers from the past year include Nick Bayer (CEO of Saxbys), and Ankur Jain (Forbes 30 Under 30).
The Operations Committee handles logistical aspects of the club by securing spaces for weekly board meetings, ambassador meetings, and speaker events. They also design and maintain WUEC presence on channels like CampusGroups.
The community outreach committee is responsible for managing WUEC's website and listerv mailing list. In addition we work closely with the Marketing committee and Operations committee to put together material for the weekly listerv. Members share a passion for web/graphic design, but do not need to have previous coding experience.
2018 Fall Committee Applications Now Open!
The Marketing Committee designs club logos, apparel, event posters, and online media. Members advertise upcoming events, and maintain the clubs internet presence through weekly ListServ emails and updates on the Facebook page.
The Ambassadors Program fosters a community of entrepreneurs on-campus and off-campus through monthly meetings, classes, events, and tech-treks! Ambassadors also form mentorships with MBA students, and attend guest speaker events. We are currently revamping this program for Fall 2019.
